BEING AWARE OF ANXIETY

Within our practice we provide treatment for many patients trying to manage anxiety.  The key is to know the signs and seek the treatment you require in order that it can be effectively managed.  The following statement released from Beyond Blue provides some interesting insights from a survey of 1,449 people into anxiety awareness.  A key message that comes from the work completed by Beyond Blue relates to being able to spot signs and symptoms of anxiety.  Some of those signs and symptoms include:

  • Excessive worrying about things that could go wrong
  • Racing mind that won’t calm down
  • Feeling tense or on edge
  • A racing heart
  • Sleeping problems
