Melissa is a Clinical Psychology Registrar with advanced training in relationship, trauma and attachment-focused therapy. She works with couples, families and individuals navigating complex relational dynamics, emotional disconnection, conflict, life transitions, and patterns shaped by early attachment experiences.
Melissa has worked across hospital, community and specialist private settings in both Melbourne and Brisbane. She is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and is an APS Disaster Support Network Psychologist. Prior to psychology, she had a long career in broadcasting, bringing strong communication skills and relational insight to her clinical work.
Her therapeutic style is warm, reflective and collaborative. Melissa supports clients to deepen emotional awareness, understand relational patterns, and develop more secure and sustainable ways of relating to themselves and others. She integrates psychodynamic and systemic approaches with evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), delivered within a trauma-informed and attachment-based framework. She welcomes diversity and works affirmatively with LGBTQIA+ clients.
Outside of work, Melissa enjoys time with family and friends, riding Dutch bikes, spending time hiking or at the beach, and reading and writing fiction and memoir.
