David Balladon
Clinical Psychologist
David is a clinical psychologist with over a decade of experience in the mental health field. He completed his Doctorate in Counselling Psychology at Glasgow Caledonian University and holds full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA), with endorsements in both Clinical and Counselling Psychology.
David has a special interest in working with trauma, anxiety, and mood disorders. He is also experienced in supporting clients through addiction recovery, life transitions, and challenges related to identity and belonging, including those within the LGBTQIA+ community.
David’s experience spans a wide range of settings, including national health services, charities, NGOs, and private organisations. He works with individuals across the lifespan and draws on a variety of evidence-based therapeutic approaches tailored to the unique needs of each client. These include Person-Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), EMDR, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Schema Therapy. He uses these approaches to help clients achieve a better understanding of the relationship between their emotions and thoughts with the intention of helping them thrive in their lives.
