Alicia is a dedicated and highly experienced psychologist with over 26 years of clinical practice across both private practice and educational settings. Her career includes more than a decade working in a P–12 school environment, where she supported the mental health and development of children and adolescents. Alicia also has extensive experience working with adults and has a strong interest in supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those with disabilities, neurodevelopmental conditions, and complex life experiences.
Alicia works with a range of presentations, including anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), trauma, and the impacts of family and domestic violence. She also specialises in supporting individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and has a particular focus on functional capacity building, emotional regulation, and enhancing day-to-day resilience.
She is passionate about creating a safe, respectful, and supportive therapeutic space where clients feel empowered to navigate challenges and build long-term wellbeing. Alicia works with children, adolescents, and adults using the following evidence-based approaches tailored to individual needs:
- Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
- Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)
- Strengths-Based interventions.
