Penelope is a clinical psychologist with a strong focus on supporting current and former Australian Defence Force members, first responders, and high-performing individuals who have experienced significant stress or trauma. She works collaboratively with clients to help them identify what matters most to them and to take meaningful steps toward a life aligned with their values, even in the face of ongoing challenges.

Penelope’s therapeutic approach is warm, respectful, collaborative. She works alongside clients to understand how past experiences — including cumulative stress and trauma — may be impacting current emotional responses, behaviour, and wellbeing. Her goal is to support clients to build insight and practical tools so they feel better equipped to navigate life’s ups and downs with confidence over time. Penelope works with a wide range of presenting concerns, with particular areas of interest including:

• Trauma, complex trauma and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
• Anxiety disorders, panic and phobias
• Depression and mood difficulties
• Occupational stress and burnout
• Addiction and substance misuse
• Grief, bereavement and loss
• Relationship and interpersonal difficulties
Penelope tailors her therapeutic approach to the unique needs and goals of each client, utilising evidence-based modalities such as:

• Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)
• Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
• Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
• Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
• Brainspotting Therapy (BSP)

Penelope is an Accredited EMDR Practitioner with the EMDR Association of Australia, a Member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc., and is registered with AHPRA, Medicare Australia, DVA, and WorkCover.
